Encounter
The Hakone Glass Forest Museum in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan exhibited numerous art pieces made of glass.
Captivated by the sparkle of glass, I wanted to try not only drawing but also crafting, and together with my wife, we created this Crystal Tree.
Order in Nature
Trees may seem chaotic at first glance, but upon closer inspection, there are certain rules.
Branches split at regular intervals, and each split makes the new branch thinner than the original.
By replicating these natural rules, we made the branches split into three at each level, repeated three times, resulting in 27 crystal fruits.
What appears complex at first glance is actually governed by simple rules, creating beauty—embodying my creative concept: Simple law, Complex behavior.
